What is Lidquid, in one paragraph?
Lidquid turns the back of an open laptop into a small, measurable billboard. Laptop owners stick on a removable vinyl QR sticker for a brand they've approved. When a stranger scans it, Lidquid checks that the scan is real, the brand pays for it, and the owner earns. Brands get owner-approved placements in places with hours of dwell time, and they pay only for verified attention instead of impressions nobody can prove.

How much does Lidquid pay?
Each brand sets a rate per verified scan, and you approve it before anything ships. What you earn depends on how often your laptop is out in public and how busy those places are: a lid in a busy café five days a week earns far more than one that stays at home.

What counts as a verified scan?
A verified scan is a real person, on a real phone, scanning your sticker for the first time. Repeat scans from the same device, bots and your own scans are filtered out. Verification is what lets brands trust the numbers enough to pay per scan. More detail in what is a verified scan?
Is Lidquid legit, or a scam?
Lidquid is free for laptop owners and never asks you to pay, cash a cheque or send money anywhere. That matters, because "get paid to advertise on your stuff" is a well-known scam format: the car wrap scam sends a fake cheque and asks you to forward part of it. Will the sticker damage my laptop?

Lidquid is in a pre-launch pilot with 50 laptops, opening one city at a time. Cities open in order of waitlist demand. When your city crosses the threshold, everyone on the list there gets one email, and pilot spots go to the top of the list first.
How do I stop?
Peel the sticker off. There's no lock-in, no minimum term and no fee to leave, and you keep everything you've earned up to that day. You can also swap brands at the end of a campaign.
